To Become a Saved Child of God, We Must:
Acknowledge that we have a sin problem and debt that we cannot pay ourselves. We are all sinners, and our sins have separated us from God. The penalty of sin is death. We must acknowledge this and ask for forgiveness.
Acknowledge that God provided us with a Savior; he sent his only Son to die on the cross in our place as a sacrifice for our sins.
Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior, we believe he is who he said he was, and we trust in him for our salvation. Jesus lived a perfect life and became the perfect sacrifice for all sin, he died on a cross to atone for our sins, and he rose again to life and lives, proving he was our Savior. Jesus lives in Heaven exalted to God’s right hand as permanent High Priest and advocate before God for the members of his Kingdom.
If You Believe, Pray This Prayer Now to Start Your New Life with Jesus Christ:
Dear God, almighty creator of all things, I bow before your glorious throne.
Father, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness for my sins.
Father, I know I only deserve punishment for my sins, but I know you sent your Son Jesus Christ to be my Savior.
Father, I believe in Jesus Christ, and I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward.
Father, please fill me with your Holy Spirit to guide my life and help me repent and do your will. I pray and ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
YOU ARE A SAVED CHILD OF GOD!
First, abide in Christ, and he will abide in you. Do this by reading your Bible daily to learn to hear and understand God’s voice. Talk to God in prayer, expect him to talk back. Ask for his will to be revealed to you. Prioritize God with some of your time, and he will prioritize you.
Get baptized as soon as possible. Baptism is a beautiful symbolic cleansing experience of washing your sins away and proclamation to the world that you are a Child of God now. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist to signify the start of his earthly ministry, and we should follow his example. We should also note that His baptism pleased God.
Find a Church home that you can join. It should be a place where you can worship and fellowship with like-minded Christians. Finding a Church is not always easy to do as there are many false teachers and hypocrites inside our Churches today, do not be surprised by this because Jesus told us they would be there. Look for a Church that teaches the Bible as it is written. Often these are the Churches that are rapidly growing because God is blessing their work. No Church is perfect, and we should know that going in, but our Savior is perfect, and he still wants us in Church, so we need to be there, if for no other reason but to improve it.
Find your work and take ACTION for the Kingdom. We all have God-given talents that we can deploy for the Kingdom. The fruit we produce is evidence of our enduring faith. James says, believing in God is not enough because even the demons believe in God and shudder. If someone claims to have faith but has no deeds, can such a faith save them? We must act. (James 2:14-20)
Expect the fruits of the Holy Spirit to grow in your life. The Holy Spirit will be a presence in your life working to sanctify you, and as he does this, you will see more of the fruits of the Spirit, which are: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
